Company History

Studnicky Financial was originally created as a branch office of Gelico in 1979. At that time Lawrence Joseph Studnicky was the sales manager for Gelico (Geico’s Life Arm) with operations in Glen Burnie, Maryland with the city of Baltimore as our exclusive territory. Over the next ten years the company was transformed from a carrier based business to a full brokerage firm, specializing in both individual life insurance and disability sales.

In 1991, Christopher Mark Studnicky entered into the insurance industry as a career agent at Paul Revere Insurance Group, specializing in disability sales. After completing his training program he joined LJS & Associates and developed the employee benefits side of the company. In 1993 the name was changed to Studnicky Financial. In January of 2000, Lawrence Joseph Studnicky died of lung cancer.

In April of 2000, Studnicky Financial moved the business to Annapolis, Maryland and in 2001 created a satellite office in New York City. It is the company’s intent to reestablish a satellite office in Florida by the end of 2007.

In the company’s 28 year history, Studnicky Financial has helped clients with claim problems and reimbursements totaling at least $10,000,000. Studnicky Financial currently provides insurance planning to more than 3,000 individuals and is licensed in 40 states.

Christopher Mark Studnicky is the sole principal of Studnicky Financial. He received his degree from Boston University in 1991, with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing.
